Scope
The Pride Website Meta app is used to access authorised Instagram content for Pride of our Footscray so recent posts can be shown on the website. The website does not provide public Facebook or Instagram login for visitors.
If you connected, tested, authorised, administered, or otherwise used the app through Meta, this page explains how to request deletion of Meta-related data we hold about that connection.
Remove the app from Meta
You can revoke the app's access through your Meta account settings. Meta's interface changes over time, but the usual path is:
- open Facebook or Instagram settings while signed in;
- go to Settings and privacy, then Settings;
- open Apps and Websites, Business Integrations, or the connected-apps area shown for your account;
- find the app named Pride Website or Pride of our Footscray;
- remove or disconnect the app.
Facebook's connected apps page is usually available at facebook.com/settings?tab=applications.
Request deletion from us
To ask Pride of our Footscray to delete Meta-related data we hold about you, email meet@prideofourfootscray.bar with the subject line Meta data deletion request.
Please include enough information for us to locate the connection:
- your full name;
- the email address connected to the relevant Meta, Facebook, or Instagram account, if safe for you to provide;
- the Facebook Page, Instagram account, app-scoped user ID, or business asset involved, if you know it;
- a short note saying what you want deleted.
What we delete
Where we hold data connected to your Meta app use, we will delete or anonymise:
- Meta or Instagram access tokens and connection records;
- Meta app-scoped IDs, Instagram user IDs, media IDs, and related account identifiers;
- cached Instagram media data connected to the authorised account, such as captions, media URLs, thumbnails, permalinks, and timestamps;
- related operational logs where reasonably feasible.
We may retain information if required by law, for security, for accounting or dispute records, or where it has been aggregated or anonymised so it no longer identifies a person.
Timing
We will acknowledge deletion requests as soon as practical and aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days unless a lawful reason requires a longer period. We will confirm when the request has been completed or explain what we cannot delete.
What this does not delete
This process deletes data held by Pride of our Footscray for the Pride Website Meta app. It does not delete your Facebook account, Instagram account, Meta account, posts, messages, or data held directly by Meta. To manage or delete data held by Meta, use your Facebook, Instagram, or Accounts Center settings.
